Rain Impedes the Conclusion of the Tyler Wolf Memorial

CHICO, Calif., June 4, 2022 — After a valiant effort in trying to conclude the 9th Tyler Wolf Memorial, mother nature didn’t play nice, and a second rainstorm swept through the Silver Dollar Speedway forcing officials to cancel the remainder of the nights race. The event itself, featured 64 Sprint Car Challenge Tour drivers, and 16 BCRA Midget Lighting Sprints competitors. The second rainstorm ended the SCCT B main event from concluding.

Fans were issued a rain check at the speedway once the race was officially canceled. Those rain checks can be used at any upcoming race at Silver Dollar Speedway except admission into the 4 days of the Gold Cup Race of Champions. Competitors and pit crews were informed to keep their pit bands from tonight. Those pit bands can be returned to an upcoming race and presented at the pit gate to get into the next race, except during the four days of the Gold Cup Race of Champions.

After much consideration between SLC Promotions and SCCT officials, it has been decided to reschedule the 9th Tyler Wolf Memorial for Thursday night, September 29th, extending the Fall Nationals to a three day show this year. Tonight’s race was forfeited due to the rain, and the Thursday race will be started all over from scratch.
