Dear teams,
To make things as safe as possible in the pit area, the Sprint Car Challenge Tour is implementing what is considered a “cold pit” starting in Tulare and will be in use from here on out. Drivers will be required to shut their engines off while exiting the track and then be pushed by their quads back to their pit stall.
As we've seen with the large car counts it has created major congestion in the pit area and keeping safety in mind for crew members, family members and those in the pits, this safety rule is being added in.
Along with that, the minimum age to ride a pit bike or drive a quad in the pits is 14.
Thank you for your cooperation in regards to the new rules. We consider all of our teams as family, so safety is our number one priority.
